Cowley Vaults

Just ordered Black and Blue Burger with upgrade to salt and pepper chunky chips and hands down best takeaway in St Helens! Restaurant quality food and still piping hot in the comfort in your own home, Staff were super friendly on the phone too and nothing was too much trouble! Found my new ‘go to’ takeaway and for really good price with such good quality!

I think this might serve as a sister pub to the nearby (and more renowned) Turks head. Good little boozer serving a few decent ales. Different vibe to the Turk and i thinking probably retains a local following prior to the take over. Just my take. Decent pub in its own right and worth at least popping in for one. The people running it seem to be quite entrepreneurial as there’s also a kebab/pizza/burger place attached and you can eat it in pub. Good little set up.

One of my favourite delivery/takeaways in St Helens. That by itself doesn't say much, as St Helens has a very poor selection of takeaways, but I have to say, Cowley vaults's "British cuisine" take on kebabs is brilliant. My favourite is the beef with gravy, always delicious. Nice loaded fries and chicken wings too. The pizza is just your average "takeaway pizza", so probably the least interesting item on the menu.

We really love getting food from the Cowley Vaults when we go to the Turk's Head for a drink! We hadn't been in awhile as I've developed some post-virus food allergies/sensitivities that have made eating out a bit scary. We asked the staff for allergen menus and they were all unbelievably helpful and kind - I ended up having some vegan cheesy chips with fried onions and as silly as it sounds being able to eat safe food that was proper takeaway/pub food instead of a super plain salad while out was such a pleasure. The staff took it really seriously and I'm very confident to go back again in the future because of this - super happy to have somewhere in Saint Helens we can go for a meal again!

Nice neighborhood Pub with a large outdoor seating area. Really good beer selection including some cask ales to choose from. Outside was packed so found a nice seat inside by the bar and enjoyed the music at a Saturday night volume and a decent mix playing. Service was fast and friendly but as a note they do not accept cash only cards .

Fabulous experience, went for the first time yesterday, weather was perfect, the music was brilliant, reminded me a little of "cafe mambo in ibiza" the price might be a little on the pricey side for food. But it's worth it for the experience and the atmosphere...and the excellent music choice. It was wonderful all round, Paid £14 for fish chips and peas and £4 for a pint of carling, can only pay via card though being the only pitfall to the occasion. Will definitely be going again, that's for sure. Thanks guys and gals (It was that good I even applied for a job their)

Lovely pub, perfect to sit outside when the weather is nice,food is amazing,so much choice,I ordered the braised steak kebab,great value for money and so tasty
